Learn how to make your very own stop-motion movie, with instructor Sarena Johnson. In this workshop students will learn the basics of stop motion film making. A fun and engaging activity that fosters storytelling and hands on skills. Recommended for ages 10+
Materials needed: phone or tablet with stop motion app; objects for stop motion (this can be anything! toys, clay, paper, or any type of puppet will all work)
Optional additional materials: cardboard, a tripod, flashlights, or any other decorations you might want to use.
Cancellation Policy
Participants who withdraw from a class must request a refund or credit more than 14 days prior to the start of the class in order to receive a full refund or credit (minus a $20 cancellation fee or 10% for one-day workshops).
Participants who cancel a registration between 8 and 14 days prior to the start of the class may receive a 50% refund or credit. Participants who cancel a registration less than 7 days prior to the start of the class will not receive a refund or credit.
Washington Art Association does not offer prorating for classes, and there are no make-ups, credits or refunds if a student misses a class.
Membership fees are non-refundable.

WAA is hosting a field trip to The William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation in Mount Kisco, NY, open to members and non-members alike. Please note that transportation is not included, and attendees are to arrange for their travel to and from the museum.
Guided tours provide an introduction to the collection as well as give more in-depth information on the works and artists represented. Visits last between an hour to an hour and a half including time for independent viewing. Limited parking is available at the WLD Foundation.

WAA is hosting a field trip to The Big Apple for a day of museum and gallery hopping, open to members and non-members alike. WAA will provide a charter bus for transport to The Metropolitan Museum of Art 5th Avenue, and attendees may spend the day as they please.
The bus will leave from WAA at 9:00 AM (4 Bryan Hall Plaza, Washington Depot, 06794), and will depart from New York City at 3:30 PM (1000 5th Ave, New York, NY 10028). The approximate arrival time back at WAA will be 5:30 PM.
