Calls for Entry
The Washington Art Association & Gallery is pleased to announce our 2026 National Juried Show and invites artists from across the United States to submit their work for consideration.
This highly anticipated exhibition celebrates contemporary artists working in a variety of media and will be juried by Barbara Grossman, an acclaimed New York-based painter whose distinguished career includes the Benjamin Altman Prize from the National Academy of Design, a Connecticut Commission on the Arts Fellowship, a Henry Ward Ranger Fund Purchase Award, and a Fulbright-Hayes Grant.
Artists ages 18 and older residing in the United States are invited to submit original artwork completed within the past three years in the following categories:
• Painting
• Works on paper, including drawing, watercolor, printmaking, collage, and original photography
• Sculpture, including ceramic sculpture
Accepted artwork will be exhibited at the Washington Art Association & Gallery from:
September 19 – October 17, 2026
Opening Reception: Saturday, September 19
Submission Details
• Entry deadline: August 17, 2026
• Up to 6 entries per artist
• $40 for up to 3 entries ($5 each additional entry)
• Artwork must be original and available for sale during the exhibition

General Exhibition Proposal Form
Curatorial Proposals (Group Exhibitions)
The Exhibitions Committee considers proposals for thoughtfully curated, thematic group shows with four or more artists. We are not currently reviewing submissions from individual artists.
