Explore the art of mosaics in this engaging 5 week class. The first class you will learn to cut glass and pottery to use in mosaics and create a small project. The next 4 classes will focus on a project. Using ceramic, stone, glass, and
found objects, students will design a mosaic with a variety of materials provided. You’re also welcome to bring personal items like trinkets or jewelry to incorporate into your piece. Through demonstrations and one-on-one instruction, you’ll learn the mortar method—no messy grout required! This class offers a fun, supportive environment to spark your creativity and is perfect for anyone curious about trying mosaics. All materials, including a substrate base, are included.

- A materials fee of $25 will include a base, mortar, and a set amount of material for your projects.
- All tools will be provided.
- Each student is welcome to bring personal items like trinkets or jewelry to incorporate into their piece.
Cancellation Policy
Participants who withdraw from a class must request a refund or credit more than 14 days prior to the start of the class in order to receive a full refund or credit (minus a $20 cancellation fee or 10% for one-day workshops). Participants who cancel a registration between 8 and 14 days prior to the start of the class may receive a 50% refund or credit. Participants who cancel a registration less than 7 days prior to the start of the class will not receive a refund or credit.
Washington Art Association does not offer prorating for classes, and there are no make-ups, credits or refunds if a student misses a class. Membership fees are non-refundable.
