Similar to the newfound appreciation of small independent bookstores, the tradition of sending your friends and loved ones a card via “snail mail” is making a comeback. Think of the heartwarming feeling you would experience when receiving an original painting as a card in the mail from an artist friend?
Join us for a workshop using pressed natural flora and a multitude of various watercolor texture techniques. Bring your creative desires and ideas to create little gems to send out to your friends and relatives. And you can save one to frame for yourself!
All level watercolorists welcome.
Be prepared to create multiple little gems.
Grace’s watercolor paintings vary in subject matter, and both reflect and interpret her personal life experiences.
“My work has evolved through various iterations of illustration, design, advertising, map-making, calligraphy, and more. The harmony of my current artistic direction is energetically aligned with these past experiences and fueled by the ever-expanding universal desire for personal creative expression.”
Grace’s work was highlighted in the June 2022 issue of Fine Art Connoisseur magazine in an article entitled, A Legacy of Women & Art Endures. As a member of several regional art organizations, she has exhibited in New York and Connecticut. Her travels in the southwest have also inspired a series of paintings showcasing the region’s beauty, and had a painting entitled Canyon Colors included in the New Britain Museum of American Art’s Art Party of the Year 2024 Exhibition fundraiser.
She holds signature status artist memberships from The National Association of Women Artists, The North East Watercolor Society, Connecticut Women Artists, Connecticut Watercolor Society and The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club in New York. Notably, in November 2023, she received The Medal of Honor in watercolor from The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, N.Y., NY, for a painting in a series of Industrial Still Life pieces. Grace received the Eve Hellman Memorial Award from the National Association of Women Artists in June 2025.
