Price range: $90.00 through $155.00
1-day Raku workshop

Location: Red Mill, 678 Main St. South, Bridgewater
Raku with Matt Denning
Get ready for an afternoon of fire, smoke, creativity, and a little bit of magic! Join potter Matt Denning for an exciting hands-on Raku Workshop at the historic Red Mill in Bridgewater.
Raku is a dramatic and unpredictable firing process where glowing-hot pottery is removed directly from the kiln and transformed through smoke, flame, and natural materials. Each piece emerges with its own unique surface, making the experience as much about discovery as it is about ceramics.
Participants may bring up to eight bisque-fired and glazed pieces to fire during the workshop. We’ll have Raku glazes available to share, and you are also encouraged to bring feathers or horsehair to experiment with special surface effects.
Whether you’re an experienced potter or simply curious to experience the thrill of Raku firing, come ready to experiment, get inspired, and enjoy a memorable afternoon with fellow clay enthusiasts!
