Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Walk softly and carry a big stick.” Now here’s your chance to do just that, with Leo Hein. He is a master woodcarver who has been woodcarving since age four. Having learned the craft from his mother, he would carve his own toys as a child and continued to develop his passion throughout his life.
In this workshop you will learn to create a custom walking stick of your own. They are perfect for fall hikes and winter strolls. In just hours under Leo’s tutelage, you will walk away with a sturdy walking stick and the skills to make many more.
Sticks and a shaving horse will be provided by the instructor.
