Price range: $320.00 through $385.00
8 weeks
Fridays, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM | September 18, 25, October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and November 6
Location: Washington Art Association General Studio
This printmaking course is suitable for any artist who has never made a print before because monotype printmaking is a painterly process where the artist brushes or rolls printing ink on to a Plexiglas plate, and with the instructor’s assistance the plate and paper is passed through the press and the image is transferred to paper.
Only non-toxic materials are used (no solvents), so the studio is fume free.
Anthony Kirk, a renowned master printer, makes available for purchase all the materials and printing paper necessary. Participants need only bring their own brushes.
The class is limited to eight participants and no previous experience in printmaking is necessary.
Instructor/Material Fee: $40 (payable to the instructor on the first day of class)
In addition printmaking paper is available for purchase at $7 per sheet
