lef is the first letter of the Persian alphabet. A beginner starts reading and writing with this letter. In Persian literature, the stature of A friend is likened to the letter Alef. Alef stands upright. All these reasons have led me to create pieces using Alef. I created this piece during my two-week artistic residency in MASS MoCA. Among the layers, I have also written a very beautiful line by Hafiz Shirazi
