Location: Washington Art Association General Studio

This class will be focused on making beautiful watercolor/collage paintings that are super simple to create and pack an added benefit of teaching valuable lessons about technique, shape, color theory, and art history.

Recommended Materials:

  • Basic watercolor paint set in tubes (including but not limited to primaries: quinacridone magenta, ultramarine blue, lemon yellow, black)

  • Watercolor brushes (1” flat, round #12, round #3)

  • Watercolor palette

  • Cup for water

  • Paper towels

  • 9×12 inch watercolor paper pad or smaller 

  • Pencil, sharpener

  • Plastic wrap*

  • Wax paper*

  • Table salt*

  • Straw

  • Rubbing alcohol

  • Hair drier

*instructor will also have a supply on hand

Cancellation Policy

Participants who withdraw from a class must request a refund or credit more than 14 days prior to the start of the class in order to receive a full refund or credit (minus a $20 cancellation fee or 10% for one-day workshops). Participants who cancel a registration between 8 and 14 days prior to the start of the class may receive a 50% refund or credit. Participants who cancel a registration less than 7 days prior to the start of the class will not receive a refund or credit.

Washington Art Association does not offer prorating for classes, and there are no make-ups, credits or refunds if a student misses a class.

Membership fees are non-refundable.
