Maybe you’ve worked with foam printing plates before, maybe it was quite a while ago. It might have even been in Elementary School. We’re going to step up the complexity of this simple easy to use material. In this workshop we will be approaching these plates in a whole new way. The carving will be done with an old ball point pen or dull pencil. The prints will be white line, full color, and mimic reduction plate linoleum prints. The inks are water based so clean up is easy. You’ll experiment with background colors and an array of object colors. You can even roll Ombres of mixed colors. You will need a contour line drawing on a 9 x12 or 8 ½ x 11 paper to begin. All subject matters are possible. Landscapes, seascapes, still life, flowers, animals, even bugs if you like.

No prerequisites.
