A Mid-Century Artist’s Haven, The Early Days of the Washington Art Association Lecture with Sarah Griswold (Sunday, May 3 | 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM)

$0.00

Sunday, May 3 | 4:00pm to 5:30pm

Location: Washington Art Association General Studio

Back by popular demand, Sarah will explore the social, political, cultural, and historical environment that gave rise to the Washington Art Association in 1952. Join us May 3rd from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at WAA’s general studio in revisiting the rich history that gave way to the creative community we know today, how it has woven itself into a beautiful tapestry that formed the prestige and presence of Washington CT, and explore the artists who have added their pallete to its evolution.

A lecture with slides will be provided along with an open forum at the end for Q&A. The event is free to the public and we can’t thank Sarah enough for sharing her work in uncovering the buried treasures this small but magnanimous town has to offer.
