For over 70 years, the Washington Art Association has presented compelling exhibitions in Litchfield County. Our program highlights local artists, student artists, and nationally recognized figures—including Charles Cajori, Tom Doyle, Tim Prentice, Alexander Calder, Cleve Gray, and many more. Our Young Talent exhibition, a WAA favorite, has introduced audiences to artists who went on to build significant careers, including Eric Aho, Erin Raedeke, Giordanne Salley, Amy Lincoln, and Mark Brousseau.
Exhibitions Committee Mission: We balance three primary commitments to shape a rich exhibition program that invites discovery and dialogue:
Bringing artists of national recognition to Washington for the benefit of our members, students, and community;
Introducing our audience to new voices;
Showcasing the work of our talented members, students, and teaching faculty.
Proposals & Submissions We welcome curatorial proposals for thoughtfully conceived group exhibitions; however, we are not currently reviewing applications from individual artists to exhibit.
All members are invited to participate in our Annual Members’ Exhibition, as well as several thematic members’ exhibitions each year.
