“My teaching method is all about interaction—I explain by showing. Every action I take comes with an explanation or answers a student’s question. This approach has proven to be very effective and is widely appreciated because I don’t believe in purely theoretical explanations.

In this session, we’ll cover the following points:

  • Planning painting process. 
  • Drawing and composition from major shapes to details. 
  • Introducing of the scenography to express your painting story. 
  • Pigment management: color mixing and wash consistency. 
  • Proper use of edges through timing, exploring watercolor life cycle from wet to dry. 
  • Controlling of tonal values. 
  • Abstracting the shapes by developing your own visual language. “
